Adeptus Astra Telepathica

Adeptus Astra Telepathica: All legal Imperial Psykers are members of the Astra Telepathica or one of its related organisation. The organisation recruits from the planets of the Imperium, taking a tithe of anyone with latent psychic powers who is deemed stable and controlled enough to use them to the Imperium's advantage. Those who have unstable powers are sacrificed to feed the Emperor to remove the possibility od daemonic possession or incursion and to maintain his life on the Golden Throne.
As well as recruiting psykers, the Astra Telepathica train their members to better use and control their powers. Some psykers are trained to take to the field of battle and use their latent powers aggressively, but the majority are trained as Astropaths for the ships of the Imperium.
