Battle of Hel Fenn

Battle of Hel Fenn: Notable battle in 2145, which came at the end to the so-called 'Winter War' between Mannfred von Carstein and the Empire. Hel Fenn itself is a vast swamp on the banks of the River Stir between the Vanhaldenschlosse and the town of Waldenhof, and it was here that the last of the von Carsteins was brought to battle by Martin of Stirland, who personally cut down the vampire lord as he fled the field in his chariot.
Martin, Elector of Stirland, claimed Sylvania as part of his territory as his right by battle.No one opposed this, as no other Elector wanted Sylvania.
Mannfred's body was never recovered.
