Chapter: An organisational group of Space Marines sharing a common heraldry, founding Primarch and combat doctrine. A Chapter numbers approximately 1000 men plus Headquarters staff, equipment, vehicles and crew when at full strength. Each chapter normally consists of 10 companies including 1 Veteran, 1 Scout and 4 Reserve companies. Some unorthadox chapters do, however, take different structures not perscribed in the Codex Astartes.
