Charlie Stross

Charlie Stross: Trooper Charlie (presumably Charles to his mother) Stross was one of the many unfortunate casualties during the demonic possession of the computer system at US Cavalry base Fort Apache in January 1999.
Given a spell in the base cells for mouthing off to Sergeant Quincannon after a lengthy hike with full gear, Trooper Stross disappeared mysteriously from his cell overnight, leaving only some pancreatic tissue, some severed fingers and a series of cabbalistic sigils drawn on the walls in blood.
The base commander, Vladek Rintoon, attributed his death (as with many others) to the activities of the Maniax gangcult.
