Ossmudula

Ossmudula: Am implant placed in the body of Neophyte Space Marines during the implantation of thier Gene-seed. The Ossmudula uses specially altered hormones, combined with a diet high in ceramic-based chemicals, to greatly increase the growth and strength of the bones in a Marine's body. Two years after the implantation, the Marine's skeleton will be exponentially stronger; and the rib cage will be fused into a solid mass of interlaced bone plates.
Whilst this has the obvious benefit of making the Marines' bones more difficult to break, reducing potential injury from impacts (the strengthened bones are less likely to fracture on impact, for example), it also helps the Merine bear the strains of high-G worlds, and of carrying his power armour.
