Red Corsairs

Red Corsairs: The Red Corsairs are a group of renegade Space Marines composed of traitors from the Astral Claws, Lamenters, Executioners and Mantis Warriors Chapters. At the end of the Badab Uprising, the survivors of the Astral Claws, numbering some two hundred, fled into the Maelstrom with the body of their Lord and Master, Lufgt Huron. They were followed by those of their fellow traitors who had not surrendered to Loyalist forces. Deep in the Maelstrom, these renegades took over a pirate world and gathered themselves into a new forces of Traitor Marines. Obliterating their Imperial heraldry and previous Chapter markings with Chaos symbols and red colouring has earned them the name of 'Red Corsairs'.

The Inquisition has noted the existence of the Corsairs. Of particular concerns to them is that so many Space Marines, individuals to whole squads, who have gone missing without explanation, so often resurface in the ranks of the Red Corsairs. Slowly but surely, the Corsairs have grown in strength and number. Their raids into Imperial Space, formerly small and localised, are becoming bolder and bloodier as the years pass....
