The background behind the army

Lord Harcion General of Khorne

Lord Harcion was once a young noble of Bretonia. His lands covered the border between Bretonia and the Empire, an area just above the northern tip of the Grey Mountains.
Of course living this close to the tainted northern lands of the Old World could not help but have an effect on the young lord. With the 'aid' of the court scorcerer, Ricard de François, (who was also the Lord's guardian and tutor during his earlier years) the last in the line of the Harcions was slowly drawn towards the powers of chaos.
François had been a secret practitioner of the black arts for many years and was just waiting for a chance to spread the powers of the dark four.
As a young boy he was trained by his father's best leitenant, Pierre d'Épouvanter. Pierre trained him in the way of the warrior, taught him how to weild sword and axe, how to ride and joust. He deeply imprinted the code of the warrior which was to change the course of the Lord's life.
When the time came for Harcion to fully pledge himself to one of the Chaos gods his martial pride influenced his descision, and he pledged his soul to Khorne, the blood god .
Harcion realised that if he revealed his belief without any backing he would quickly be denounced as a heritic and deposed, so he ventured out to the waste lands across the esturary from his realm, and from there into the lands of the Chaos worshipping barbarians.
He gathered together a band of fellow knights that he knew would be ideal for his guard. They were young, power hungry sons from rich families, sons that had been thrown out to prove their worth as a knight or they had been disgraced. It was these few men, men that Harcion trusted, men skilled with both lance and sword, these were the men who formed "La Cavaliers Noir"
Even though his belief in the waring ways of Khorne taught him to despise the magic users of Tzeench, he realised that his guide and tutor Ricard could be both an aid in battle, and as a friend and so allowed him and his folowers to join the growing army.

La Cavaliers Noir (The Black Riders)

The Black Riders were some of the first men to join the forces of the worshipper of Khorne in his quest to 'purge the land of the misguided worshippers of the Lady of the Lake'. The were ruthless in their methods and merciless in battle, many barons who had stayed loyal ot the Lady of the Lake and had joined forces with Sir d'Amiton, one of the most stout belivers in the lady. These barons were one by one captured and were crulely tortured by the evil knights till they revealed the whereabouts of Sir d'Amiton. None of the men would reveal the information that Harcion desired. Many of the commeners died that day as the Riders hunted for their lords nemisis.

La hommes de dègoûtant (The vile men)

The vile men were a band of ogres that folowed the trail of destruction the Black Riders left behind, looting and stealing from the shattered villages of the commeners.
Any resistance that the band of ogres met were met quickly and with force. Seeing the strength that the ogres may add to his warband, Lord Harcion met with the leader of the ogres, Orag the vile, a giant of a beast, even for ogre standards.
A payment was met and soon 'Orag's Ladz' became 'La Hommes de Dègoûtant' and Harcions army grew again.
